In the heart of a global pandemic, a culinary dream took root. Established in 2021, LAAFA is a testament to resilience, passion, and the unifying power of food. As COVID-19 brought the world to a standstill, our founders saw an opportunity to bring a unique fusion of Korean and Nepali cuisines to the community.
Opening a restaurant during such unprecedented times was no easy feat. With lockdowns and restrictions, the journey to our grand opening was filled with challenges. But we held onto our vision, fueled by our love for these two rich culinary traditions and our desire to share them with the world.
Despite the odds, LAAFA opened its doors, offering a beacon of comfort and connection in a time of isolation. Our dishes, a blend of Seoul’s vibrant flavors and Kathmandu’s hearty fare, became a symbol of hope and resilience.
